These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the ART Patterns website and the purchase or licensing of our artwork. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these terms.
You may create an account to purchase products or licences. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity carried out using your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, please contact us immediately.
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product or licence. Orders become legally binding once accepted by ART Patterns.
All prices are shown in GBP. Where applicable, VAT will be charged in accordance with UK tax legislation. Payment is required before digital files are released.
Our products are supplied digitally unless otherwise stated. As digital products cannot be physically returned, purchases are generally non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.
You may only use purchased artwork in accordance with the licence supplied. Artwork must not be copied, shared, resold or redistributed unless expressly permitted.
We may update, modify or discontinue parts of our website or services at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
———————————————————————————————————
Every ART Patterns design is supplied under a licence. Purchasing a licence gives you permission to use the artwork in specific ways, but copyright always remains with ART Patterns unless otherwise agreed in writing.
ART Patterns offers a range of licence options to suit different projects, from personal use through to commercial manufacturing and exclusive licensing.
The licence supplied with your purchase will clearly state:
- permitted uses
- production limits (where applicable)
- duration
- territory
- exclusivity (if applicable)
Depending on your licence, you may:
- manufacture products using the licensed artwork
- use the artwork for marketing your licensed products
- resize artwork for production purposes
- create approved colourways where permitted
Unless specifically agreed in writing, you may not:
- claim copyright ownership of the artwork
- resell, redistribute or share digital files
- sublicense the artwork to another company
- use artwork beyond the scope of your licence
- alter the artwork in a way that creates a new design for resale
If your project grows beyond your current licence, simply contact us. We’ll be happy to upgrade your licence without requiring you to purchase the artwork again.
———————————————————————————————————
Because our products are supplied as digital files, purchases cannot normally be returned once they have been downloaded. Please make sure you select the correct licence before completing your purchase. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to advise before you order. However, we are committed to providing excellent customer service and will always work with you to resolve genuine issues.
If a purchased file contains a technical issue, formatting error or production defect, we will correct the artwork and provide an updated version at no additional cost.
If you require a higher licence after purchase, you’ll simply pay the difference between your existing licence and the new licence.
Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances, including technical issues that cannot reasonably be resolved. If a refund is approved: • all licence rights immediately terminate • all copies of the artwork must be permanently deleted • the artwork may no longer be used for any purpose. If you experience any problems with your purchase, please contact us. We’re always happy to help.

Every design created by ART Patterns represents original creative work and is protected by copyright and applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing a licence does not transfer ownership of the artwork. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all copyrights remain the property of ART Patterns.
Your licence grants permission to use the artwork only within the agreed scope. The licence does not permit resale, redistribution or transfer of the digital files themselves.
Where an Exclusive Licence has been purchased, the scope of exclusivity will be clearly defined within a separate written agreement.
Unauthorised copying, redistribution, sublicensing or reproduction of our artwork is prohibited. ART Patterns reserves the right to take appropriate legal action to protect its intellectual property where necessary.
While every collection is created independently, similarities may occasionally occur within the wider design industry. ART Patterns cannot guarantee that unrelated designers will not independently create work with similar themes or concepts.
ART Patterns reserves the right to display licensed artwork within its portfolio, website and marketing materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.

These guidelines are intended to help manufacturers, brands and licensing partners achieve the best possible results when producing products using ART Patterns designs.
Colours displayed on screen may differ from printed results due to monitor settings, printing methods and fabric types. We recommend approving physical samples before full production.
Artwork should always be reviewed at full production size. The perceived scale of motifs can vary significantly between different products.
Before large production runs, we recommend testing:
- repeat alignment
- print quality
- colour accuracy
- fabric compatibility
Clients are responsible for approving production samples, strike-offs, lab dips and final manufacturing specifications.
Depending on your project, files may include:
- AI
- EPS
- TIFF
- PNG
- JPEG
along with specification sheets, colour references and repeat information where applicable.
Where agreed as part of your project, ART Patterns is happy to assist with production queries, artwork adjustments and manufacturer requirements to help ensure a smooth manufacturing process.
Every manufacturing process is different. If your printer or manufacturer requires specific artwork adjustments, we’re happy to discuss the best solution before production begins.
Please contact us before placing your order and we’ll guide you to the most suitable option.
